Episode 4 - Partner Visa Situations & Options For Couples Affected By COVID19

7/9/2020

Hi there, Martin Salvo here with a new blog!

Episode 4 of Partner Visa Secrets is now available, in full HD, in our YouTube Channel as well as a Podcast on Apple & Spotify.

In this long-awaited episode, I discuss the impacts of COVID to all couples looking to apply for an Australian Partner visa, and the options available.

Click here (or the image below) to watch in full HD.
In this episode, you will learn that there are three common couple situations:

Situation 1 - Both the Applicant & Sponsor are Inside Australia.

Situation 2 - The Applicant and Sponsor are both physically offshore and typically living together looking for ways to enter Australia.

Situation 3 - The Applicant and Sponsor are physically separated, typically with the Applicant offshore, and the Australian onshore, looking for ways to be reunited in Australia.

Each situation has its own challenges and considerations given COVID-19, the border closures and travel exemption application process currently in place.

⭐NEW! ⭐ Travel Exemption Experience Tool & Database 📊 - Specifically for Partners/Spouse of Australians

Following on from the above, one of the biggest issues at the moment is the lack of transparency and data in relation to travel exemption decisions being made for partners/spouses of Australians currently outside of Australia.

Were they married? What documentation did they provide? Did they already have a pending Partner visa? What was their country of passport? What was their country of residence? Did they already hold a valid visa? When did they apply? When did they receive their decision? These are all questions that, collectively as a society, we do not yet have access to.

However, to try and bring some clarity and transparency back to the process, we have built a Travel Exemption Experience Tool & Database which is completely free to use.

The purpose of the tool is to help build an anonymous library of travel exemption decisions received by couples to help them, and others (and migration professionals), in future travel exemption applications.

The tool was featured in a Channel 7 news story you can watch here.

For those that would like to participate, you can follow these steps below:
